We all have nice group chats with only three or four members on WhatsApp. The stream of texts is comfortable, the notifications are manageable and the name is a collaborative and relevant effort.
It’s all about to change for the better, you’ll be glad to know, with WhatsApp introducing quote replies.
The new perk was released over the weekend as an experimental feature for the Android app’s beta version (v.2.16.118).
To find out if you have access to it, simply press on the message you want to respond to for a few seconds until the action bubble/bar pops up. Next to star, trash, copy and forward is a new option, ‘reply’, that will paste the message in a card above your quote.
