Since few weeks we have heard about features being tested out in WhatsApp beta, but today we have a new build for the WhatsApp for Windows Phone. This version brings a plethora of updates, and some of which you will just love it.
The first update is possibility of selecting a custom ring tone for WhatsApp calls to help it differentiate from the regular calls. This is available under notifications. The second feature is about more control on all kind of notifications you get. You can now choose to disable sound and vibration notification for in-app notifications. This should save a lot of battery. This followed by option to mute individual account. I wish there was a way to do it directly from the group chat.
Apart from these important ones, here are the rest of the features:
- You can now mark chats as unread or read.
- It is now possible to select multiple messages to forward and delete. This was much needed.
- New Emoji with option to choose colour. You will need to tap and hold.
- Contacts now save quickly and is ready for chat i.e. Non need to wait for WhatsApp to refresh contact.
