Viber is WhatsApp’s biggest rival, although it has more than a third of the total number of active users. Even so, its developers are offering the best features – some of them are not available in WhatsApp yet, but it has the same sign in method – it depends on a mobile device, as the account is registered using a phone number.
After Viber starts on Windows, all Conversations, Contacts, and Public Chats are synced and can be accessed from the View menu in the left side of the window. They represent the first three buttons, while the fourth one is the Dialer.
Users can insert Emoticons and animated Sticker Packs in their conversations, by clicking on them. To make a voice call to another Viber user can be done by clicking the phone button, while the second button is for placing a video call.
Also, more information about the other person can be obtained by clicking the third button. Moreover, the application has a Viber Out service for calling landline and mobile numbers. But users must buy credit to place a Viber Out call.
