Some quick dating advice for today. Do not give girls your phone number!!! OK I know this is hard sometimes and I often still give my phone number out to girls, but really it should be a last resort. Let me explain why.
These days, you can download a chat application on your smart phone such as Line, Viber and whatsapp. Each country has a popular app that all the girls use. Line for Thailand, Viber for Vietnam, etc.
These apps are great for several reasons. First of all, you don’t need a data plan to use them. All you need is a wifi connection and they work. This is convenient because you can keep in contact with people wherever you travel in the world.
Also, you can download the app on your laptop or tablet. When I got my phone stolen in Saigon, I still had Line on my laptop so I could keep in touch with people until I got a new phone. I would have been fucked without it.

The main reason why these applications are great is the BLOCK feature. If a girl is annoying or texting you too much, simply press BLOCK on her contact and she can no longer message you. SO CONVENIENT!!!
Quick story, I met a girl while I was staying in Da Nang. We met for coffee two times… That’s it. We probably spent one hour together in total.
Now she calls me ten times a day… Texts me every thirty minutes… I’m not exaggerating at all… I don’t know what to do about this.
I’ve texted her a dozen times now saying PLEASE STOP! I have a girlfriend! I left your city! I’m never coming back!
I’ve gotten down right rude and nasty with her. She still texts me saying I’m sorry I love you! I will wait for you! Please talk with me!
This girl clearly has a mental illness. Good thing I never fucked her… Jeez she would really be clinging then. I’m just annoyed because now I’m going to be forced to get a new sim card so the calls will stop.
Just last night I was laying in bed with a girl and my phone kept buzzing with her god damn calls and texts… I had to turn it off and my chick said ohh your other girlfriend is calling! Annoying as fuck! ?
With the chat applications you can set alerts to silent. Meaning, alerts won’t ring or vibrate your phone when you get a message. You have to open your phone and open the application to check it. I like my phone to stay quiet with no notifications.
Unfortunately, there will be times you have to give out your number. There’s nothing you can do about it. Many girls you meet here in Asia are dirt poor and don’t have a smartphone. SMS text is the only way to stay in contact with them.
Give them your chat application info if possible. Line ID, whats app, Viber, etc. If you really want to take it to the next level you can even get a second phone for sms messages. This isn’t necessary for the traveler because you will leave and ditch your sim card anyways. Also, most girls aren’t psycho. If you politely tell them to leave you alone they will.
If you’re an expat then you have to be more cautious if you’re juggling multiple women. It’s not a bad idea to have a junk nokia phone with a number to give random girls. I even have a spare email address just to give girls I meet online. I don’t want my business or personal email being blown up by random skanks from Asian Dating.
OK that’s my rant for the day. I have to go buy a new sim card damn it. Later guys!
