Telegram is a messaging app with a focus on speed and security and this is one of the most looked after service as it has potential to be an alternative to WhatsApp. With Telegram, you can create group chats with up to 200 people so you can stay connected with everyone at once. Plus, you can share videos up to 1GB, send multiple photos from the web, and forward any media you receive in an instant. All your messages are in the cloud, so you can easily access them from any of your devices.
As of now there is no official client for Telegram on Windows Phone 8 as there is only iOS and Android version. But since they developers have made available the API of the service, we have an unofficial app for Telegram on Windows Phone 8. Chatz is a third party client for telegram where in you can send messages, photos and videos to people who are in your phone contacts (and have Telegram). You can also create groups for up to 100 people.

Telegram boasts of being the most secure messaging service offering encryption for messages. The set up process is similar to WhatsApp, you need to enter your phone number and confirm it by receiving the code as SMS. Once you have set up, you can start messaging by adding contacts manually or importing them from your contact list.
You can select the contacts from the list and add them. If the person is already on Telegram you can start chatting with the contact using the app. You can also invite friends to Telegram.
Overall, if you use Telegram then this is a decent third party offering till the time official app is out.
