The first thing that you are going to need to do to add filters to your snapchat photos is download the latest version of the app. This can be done in by going to either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store – depending on whether you have an Apple or Android smartphone, obviously. Open the Snapchat app and swipe left to bring up your activity feed. In this window there will be a settings cog located in the top right of the screen. Select this cog. (Take a look at How to get plain Android on any Android phone.)

Now that you are in the settings menu you need to select the Manage button filed under the Additional Services heading. Once you are in the Manage page, you have to check the box next to Visual Features.
