Skip to Schedule and host a meeting in advance using Outlook Skip to Joining a Skype Meeting

Hosting or Joining a meeting You will need a computer with a web camera and/or built in mic for the full audio and video experience. Skype meetings can just be audio if preferred.

Use the Meet Now feature in Skype to set up a meeting right away without using Outlook to schedule a meeting in advance. You can add participants once the meeting has launched.

1.) Click on the arrow next to Settings, the gear icon in Skype and choose Meet Now

2.) Choose the default option, Use Skype for Business (full audio and video experience)

3.) Once the meeting has opened, you can choose to turn on your video, or keep the call audio only. From left to right: Video this will start the web cam Mic turn your mic on or off Present (see options below) Hang Up this disconnects you from the meeting

1.) Click on the three ellipses to open options and start or stop recording the meeting.

2.) Manage Recordings is where you can play, and access your recorded meetings. Files are recorded in an .mp4 format. Click Browse to access your the file location where the recording is stored.

1.) Schedule a Skype Meeting and send out an Outlook invite Outlook Desktop Client In the desktop client version of Outlook go to your calendar and click on New Skype Meeting

Outlook Web App In the Outlook Web App navigate to your Calendar and create a new calendar event  

Click Add Skype Meeting

2.) Edit Meeting Details The meeting dialog box comes up like a regular meeting invite with an auto populated link to the Skype for Business meeting. Users just click on the link to join the meeting.

In the web app, the link will be added after the meeting invite has been sent out.

Recipients will get an invite to their email like any other meeting invite sent in Outlook, however a link to the meeting will be included. Outlook appointment reminders will also give the option to Join Online or Dismiss

Once you Join the Skype meeting, you will be prompted to choose an option, choose the default option, Use Skype for Business (full audio and video experience) You may need to start your web cam and turn on your mic using the controls once you have joined the meeting.

Use the controls to start your web cam, turn your mic on or off, present documents or your desktop or end the call.
