
Emoji are a cool and easy way to impress emotions and feelings on your mobile device. Originally from Japan, the emoticons have been spreading around the world in the past few years – you might be familiar with the icons from Skype or Facebook. Unfortunately, the keyboards of iOS and Android devices make using Emojis quite difficult. Luckily, there are ways to easily use them on your iPhone, iPad or any Android device running Android 4.4 or have SwiftKey installed. This article will show you how to enable Emoji keyboards and suggestions on your phone or tablet.
iOS devices like iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
- Go to Settings > General > Keyboard
- Tap Keyboards
- Navigate to Add New Keyboard
- Select Emoji
From now on you can select the Emoji keyboard when tapping the globe icon in keyboard. That’s it!
The official Google Keyboard supports Emoji since October 2013 on Android 4.4 and higher. If you have a Samsung Galaxy, HTC or Sony Xperia device it might be possible that the stock Google Keyboard is not installed on your device. Luckily, you can install the Keyboard from Google Play or flash a ZIP file on your rooted Android device. To get Emoji suggestions you have to do the following:
