How do I add my entire department to my contacts in Skype for Business?

You can add everyone in your department to your contact list without having to add each person individually. Sympa email lists can be made available in Office 365 for this purpose. (Note: If you department or group’s Sympa list hasn’t been made available in Office 365, we have instructions for how to update the Sympa list to have it included in Office 365. If you need assistance, please submit a support request.)

In Skype for Business, search for cloud- in the search box.

The search function in Skype for Business only returns the first 50 results. If your Sympa list doesn’t show up in the list, you may need to add the name of the list. Sympa lists that have been added to Office 365 show up as cloud-<listname>-list. For example, if the list name was example2015@lists.gatech.edu, the group name would be cloud-example2015-list.

When you find the group, right-click on it and choose Add to Contacts List.

You should see a new Group named cloud-<yourgroup>-list in Skype for Business now.
