Follow the below two solutions to Fix Outdated Version of Skype Error and Use Older Version at the Same Time. Most probably the first solution will fix “Skype logged you out because you’re using an outdated version..” error.

Solution 1 to Fix Outdated Version of Skype Error and Use Older Version at the Same Time:
- At first, make sure you are using your PC as administrator.
- Now, backup your old Skype 5.x exe program file.
- Now, download and install the latest version of Skype. Log into your Skype account using your credentials. Make sure to mark the tick on Save Password option.
- Now, exit from Skype.
- Now, replace the Skype.exe file with the saved Skype 5.x exe program file from the following file directory – Program Files/Skype or Program Files (x86)\Skype (If you are using 64 bit OS).
- Now, go back and run Skype. It will now open as 5.x exe Skype and use the saved credential from the newer version to log in. It will work without any problem.

Solution 2 to Fix Outdated Version of Skype Error and Use Older Version at the Same Time:
- Install Skype older version 5.2 or 5.3.0.113.
- Now, go to Program Files/Skype or Program Files (x86)\Skype (If you are using 64 bit OS) and rename the folder as Skype 5.3.0.113 or whatever version it is.
- Now, go to Skype.com, download the latest version and run the installer. It will update the Skype in a new original Skype folder.
- Run it and mark a check on Automatically log me in when Skype starts option then sign in.
- Now, Quit Skype (do not sign out just quit it).
- Go to the Skype older version folder which you created at the first step. Open it and then run it. It should sign you in without issues.
- If it signs you out when you try to log in and says something like Disk I/O error, quit it and log into Skype 6. Then, quit Skype 6 again and then open Skype 5.3 or 5.2. It should sign you right in.
