Tutorial on how to fix skype if it is not opening in Windows 8 and Windows 10:

First tutorial:

  1. Press and hold the “Windows” button and the “R” button.
  2. Write in the “Run” window the following “msconfig.exe”.
  3. Press the “Enter” button on the keyboard.
  4. Left click or tap on the “Boot” tab situated in the upper side of the window.
  5. Check the box next to “Safe boot”.
  6. Check the box next to “Network”.
  7. Reboot the Windows 8 or Windows 10 device.

  9. Open the Run window as you did above while in safe mode.
  10. Write in the window the following “%appdata%” without the quotes.

  13. Rename the folder to “Skype_2”.
  14. Now close the file explorer and start the skype app again.
